Troll Hunting

Last weekend our little family with Katie and Joseph's little family when up the mountain to a lake. We had gone to see the fall leaves. Unfortunately, most of the leaves were gone. However, it was still quite gorgeous up there.

There was a trail that went around one side of the lake, so we decided to take a walk to the pine forest on the other side.

Along the way we had to stop and read the sign. It asked you to leave the wild life alone and explained that the frogs were disappearing from the lake. (Annabeth had to read the sign too.)

The children (with some help from their dad) though that the forest looked like the perfect place for trolls to live. So they set off to find some.

While this was going on, Annabeth and Gwendolyn decided they would just wander about.

The kids heard some sounds that had to be trolls! It was only Uncle Joseph who had been hunting trolls on his own.

Even though they didn't find any trolls everyone had a great time.
