Awhile back Nadia had to do some testing in kindergarten (a standardized test that all kindergartners here take). When I picked her up from school that day I asked her about it and she said "Oh, it was easy."
Apparently it was, because as a result of that she's now in the SPICE (Special People in a Creative Environment) program. They meet on Fridays and today was her first day. She loved it. They're learning about the rain forest, and have a big project coming up in May. She told us that it was super fun and today was the best day ever. When I asked her if she made lots of new friends she said, "Well it's real small." Turns out there are only 11 kindergartners who get to go. The only other child from her class is a little boy named Arthur (who she actually talks about quite a bit).
Here she is in her Explorer hat and wearing her Explorer badge. The boys are in it too, because as soon as Maes saw the camera he ran over to be in the picture, and we couldn't leave Finn out.
(She's pretending to be looking at a frog.)
