Now for an update on the Frog and Monkey. We'll start with the Monkey as he is the youngest.
A couple of days ago he went to the peditricians for his two month wellness checkup and for his vacinations. Because his Mamma can't stand needles, his Daddy got to take him. Apparently he cried tears, and unlike his sister who has always had large crocodile tears, Finn never has tears when he cries. Now for the fun information you get at babies checkups. He weighs 7 lbs 13 oz and is 21 inches long. For a normal baby that is in the very bottom percentile (1% for weight and 2% for height). However, for babies born at 33 weeks he is doing very well (33-34% for weight and 76% for height).
Finn is a very handsie baby. He is always grabbing and tugging at my shirt or my hair, and let me tell you, this boy has got a death grip. He has dark gray blue eyes and is starting to get interested in watching things. Because of this, he doesn't like it to be dark when he's awake. He's a little cuddle bug and loves to be held. He's calm and deals with his big sisters over exuberant loving without making a fuss. Last, but not least, he has absolutly adorable grins.
Now for the Frog. I can't believe how much she talks. Alot of it is still gibersih, but she knows so many words and she surprises us with them alot. (Such as chocolate). She's also a great parrot.
Nadia is so polite. She usually says thank you and if someone else says thank you she says "welcome". If she tells you thanks and you don't say you're welcom, she'll say it for you. She also says "bess you" every time someone sneezes.
She is now to the point where she will respond to the tv. One of her tv shows has a phrase "We've got ears say cheers" and Nadia always says Cheers. She repeats words that she hears on tv which is a mixed blessing. So far she hasn't heard and repeated any bad words, but it is only a matter of time.
She loves to ride around the house on her daddy's back. I hear him neighing and her giggling all of the time. In fact, if Jeff is ever sitting down on the ground Nadia climbs up on his back. Another game she likes to play is "Ready, set, go." All I have to do is say those words and she runs down the hall. Then she waits for you to say them again and she runs back. If you don't she'll eventually say go herself and run. She can do this for a good ten minutes or more.
When Nadia has her baths she will play for a while and then hand me the soap and her washcloth. Then she'll help me wash her hair and occasionally cleans up her toys.
The last couple of days we've been asking Nadia if she's a good girl or a bad baby. She always says that she's a bad baby. Unfortunatly that's sometimes true because she has taken to "pickin" on her baby brother. She likes to steal his blankets, bottles, and binkis. She also likes to either rock him a little to exuberantly in his swing or sit on him in it. A funny thing that she does is use his baby stuff for her dolls. She puts them on his bobby pillow, wraps them in his blankets, feeds them his bottles, or gives them his binkis. I've also caught her trying to put on Finn's cloths. They don't quite fit.
She likes to take her pants off when she can get them off. Yesterday, for instance she was wearing shorts and could easily strip them off. Her daddy kept telling her to put them back on and every once in awhile she would try. Then she took off her diaper. So I took her in her room to get a new one on. When I turned back around she was putting her shorts back on without waiting for her diaper.
I took her to a baby shower the other day and she has picked up the "awww cute" in the perfect tone of voice. She even did it for things like diaper wipes.
There are so many other adorbable (and not so adorable) things that she does that I can't possibly list them all. At least not today. They'll just have to wiat until later.
